I am NOT some little idiot child. I have done rescues in the past, but like i said, it hasnt been a HUGE rescue, nor a business. So basically, I know most of what I need to do.
And about the application...I borrowed that from another agencie who has it on their own APPLICATION! So I dont believe Im doing anything wrong!
Anyway, screw this, im not being helped.....im out of here for good!

: You are claiming that you are "clueless" as to your mistakes, yet when people point them out you throw a hissy fit. You are ASSUMING that people who have been doing "rescue" longer than you have no clue as to what they are talking about. It takes a heck of a lot more than setting up a 2 page website, collecting some supplies and having promised financial support from family to make "rescue" work.

: Crystal, with all of the patience we can muster we are trying to help you whether you see it or not. It's so easy to be blind to the reality of things when the heart wants what the heart wants. I wish upon wish that when we first started we had talked to more people involved in "rescue" so that we could learn from their experience.

: 1.) Your website gives the impression that you are a bonafide rescue. I was just there less than 5 minutes ago and see that you are charging a fee for adoption. You'd better make sure that you have your legal ducks in a row, including consulting with your landlord or homeowner's insurance company to make sure that you are covered in the event there is ever an accident. I suggest you contact the DOA down in Texas (I believe that is where you said you lived in a post last week) and make sure that you have a copy of the animal cruelty laws and a liscense if you need one BEFORE you take in your first animal. Oh yeah, I almost forgot -in addition to a resuce liscense, some states require that you file for a business liscense as well and don't forget the IRS (because they are going to want their portion of that $25.00 fee)!

: 2.) Make sure you have a good reptile vet you can use when an ig comes in injured or with MBD. You are also going to need a vet in case any of the animals get hurt while in your care.

: 3.) If you are going to allow people to ship animals to you -you better consult with your local Post Office because not all of them are allowing live animal shipment at this time.

: 4.) Even though you think you know better than me, Travis, Jiff, Samcin and everyone else that has tried to help you. You'd better get prepared for the fact that once your address gets out (and it will get out) people will literally dump animals on your door from time to time and unless there is a REAL (vs. being a "foster home") animal shelter in your area that will take exotics you are going to be stuck.

: Do us all a favor Crystal and if you are not going to at least listen (& I can tell from your response to me that you didn't really read what I had to say you skimmed the parts that you could rip apart -otherwise you would have seen that I agree with some of the points you made AND you would have also picked up on the fact that I was replying to many posts, not just yours) to the help people are offering and you are going to throw a hissy every time someone else has something constructive to say then stop asking people for their adivce, opinions and help.
