jif...you make very fine points. But if like I said earlier...even if crystal can help one or two...and maybe direct ones she cant handle to more experienced rescuers like yourself and others here would still be a step in the right direction. Crystal also has a link on her site going to another rescue site. I dont think her intentions is to try to collect all the needed rescue reptiles just to herself but to aid using resources of other rescueres like yourself.
I know heating bills can be high...but maybe crystal lives in florida or something. food bills can also be high...for herbivorus reps you can grow your own veggies. I do. As for a vet...I pay nothing. I barter with my vet. There are still some vets out there that do it to help animals. Just to note I have had over 50 something reptiles at one time so I do know the cost and time that goes into it.
by the way jif...do you find you have problems finding homes for the rescued reptiles?
