Taming questions......

Hoss will be 6 months old on the 7th.....I was wondering if it is normal for him to still run when I goto catch him for a petting session or his bath? Once he's secured in my hand he settles right down though. Am I right on schedule as far as the taming? I just worry that the 2-3 minutes I spend chasing him before i hold him is stressing him to much.....Also once I get him in hand and pet him he does the "CLOSED EYE EFFECT"! What does that mean anyway? Is he content or maybe he's just trying to block out the fact that maybe he feels powerless at that time........Just wondering......Anyway thanks....Oh yeah it's snowing here in OHIO.......14" soon on it's way!!!!!!
