I don't handle mine, if I can help it. They're very quick and scare easily too, but I have seen other people handle theirs. I guess if you handle them from a hatchling all the time, they'd get some what use to you. Mine are just for viewing and studying.
They require a very high UVB to be healthy and active. They also have to have a varity of insects in their diet too ( spiders, ants, moths, etc..and of course crix)
