tame and it takes a lot of hard work and consistency to even come close. How long have you had yours? Don't mess with the temps just to get your Iguana to conform to what you want. That is NOT a good idea!
My advice would be to try and be as gentle as possible, hold him at least twice a day around the same time for 15-20 minutes, and try putting a small piece of tee-shirt or other clothing that has your scent on it in his cage. Approach him slowly and from the side if possible. They hate to be approached from above as a predator would. When you have him in your hand, softly stroke his head, sides and back and talk to him. Eventually you will see a change in him but it may take a good month or so. Be sure to continue this from now on or he will go right back to the way he was. Again, there is absolutely no gaurantee you will have a loving tame ig.
We've had Baby for 2 1/2 years and we're still holding our breath because you never know. Right now he is pretty tame, but that could change. Do your research. You must make sure you have the proper lighting and heat so please post what your set-up is, how big your cage is, what the temps are etc. so the people on this forum can continue to help you. Continue to come back for more information. You can check out our personal website if you'd like. Good luck! J
