Axel just doesn't want to be tamed

I just can't get my juvie ig to relax when i pick him up. The only time he doesn't whip the snot out of me and squirm and dive is if his enclosure is below 75 degrees. I don't want to keep it that low so how can i get him to relax enough to be able to hold him?
