First off, I'd like to say that I do NOT approve of putting a disinfected, bleached genuine cow skull in a herp enclosure for looks. I personally think it is creepy and tacky. My fiance and I recently came across a couple of cow skulls, one for us and one for a friend who has an iguana. Our friend wants to, of course sanitize it first, and put it in w/ the iguana. My fiance wants to put it in with one of our ballpythons. I don't want to for the aforementioned reasons, also, it would look like a live Metallica poster with the snake creeping out of the eyes and what not. Even though the skulls were found bare of any muscle tissue (apparently very old), then were scrubbed, soaked in disinfectant and a bucket of 1/2 bleach 1/2 water; is there still any sanitary reason to not put them in w/ herps? It just gives me the creeps knowing that even tho it is technically clean, its still an actual SKULL. Any thoughts? ..thanks all and regards.
