You can use over-the-counter triple antibiotic cream (which you can also find at the dollar store). I use that for myself and my iguana.
He scraped some scales off about a month and a half ago and when he shed, the scales came off. He also smashed his nose into the window until it was bloody. I've used the cream for that since January (when he did it) and it's healed nicely.

(Oh, and I've also covered the window and mirrors - LOL).
