I frown down upon your decisions here, but lets teach first, and lecture later.
You need to tell your mother about Pedro. The longer you hide him/her from her, the more angry she will be if she finds out. How old are you? Your mom will need to help you with the care of Pedro. Were you aware as to how big iguanas got? How about how dangerous they may be during breeding season? What about the massive expenses that tag along with keeping one of these magnificent animals?
You will need to sit down and talk to your mom about Pedro. Try to explain to her, not yell, cry, scream, or anything of the sort. Prove that you are mature, and can take care of him properly.
It was a very irresponsible thing to do, to decieve your mother, and she will probably be hurt that you kept such a serious thing from her.
Iguana's CANNOT live in a box. They need a large cage, if not a room to thrive. Cooped up in a small box, he will die a slow, painful, agonizing death from Metabolic Bone Disease and improper care.
You need to clean his tail with some diluted betadine. Call a nearby reptile vet. Tell your mother. and finally, if you and your mom do not come to an agreement, you will need to find a good rescue/adoption association to bring Pedro to.
