As long as you have a window or windows, your iguana or other lizards with try and get through it. Unfortunately, the lizard brain just doesn't grasp the concept of clear silicon as a barrier.
This may be due to the poor state of our Public Lizard Education System or the fact that many lizards are allowed to graduate without the benefit of learning the "basics", but simply allowed to pass though ( this is also true for the Chicken and other Bird Education systems ).
In a serious note, I would recommend, as others, for putting hardware cloth over the glass, or installing a shelf along the glass so that the ig can simply lie there and look out(ig's favorite past time). The idea is to keep the lizard from throwing it's body against the glass ( which I hope is double pane - otherwise it could break ).
