We have many iguanas who take frequent leaps, often from heights that amaze me. I have yet to see any of them actually get injured from it. Not to say it is impossible for them to hurt theirselves... It is definitely possible for an iguana to do just about anything short of writing an autobiography.
About the only thing you can do if you just cannot live with this situation is soften the landing. Pillows, whatever you can think of to make it a nicer landing pad :-) If this is not the solution you are looking for, you can do as was stated below, put hardware net over the glass. Or... Build a shelf to make it a smaller drop.

: Columbus is finally in his new cage. Its huge and we've decorated it with various plants. The only problem he keeps jumping towards the window. He doesnt hit it very hard, but there is about a 6 foot drop below him. He usually catches himself on a rope or plant, but often he hits the floor. Is this really dangerous and will he 'learn' not to do it eventually? Otherwise, are there any nicelooking ideas that I can use to prevent him from doing this. Not nice looking ideas are also appreciated but I'd prefer the better ones first.
: Thanks
