dangers of freeroaming

Well I took Kamikaze to the vet today to check out his excessive sleeping. Turns out he might have an obstuction of his bowls, which is letting him pass, but not completely so it is getting impacted. We will know more about what the cause is when he does finally do his "business". He had an enima and that didn't help at all. The vet thinks it might be the carpet fuz, so just a warning to all of you guys. He is 2 ft long and carpet fibers are enough to potentially call for surgery. Hopefully the x-ray was showing just a lot of bowels, but the vet doesn't know so I just have to sit and wait. He suggested making sure the carpet is clean before letting him freeroam again. I thought I'd just share my story. =(
