Yes, that is too small. You will not be able to buy an aquarium big enough for an adult iguana. In my opinion ( after seeing what a heat rock can do), anything in the world is better than a heat rock. Do you have any spare light fixtures? Can you give him a heat bulb (protected to keep him away from it) instead? A heating pad will cost under $10 if you want to do that... What kind of flourescent light? Is it a reptile UVB light, or just a regular flourescent? It needs to be a light that produces UVB, or it is just a light doing NO good. Stop buying aquariums. They will never be big enough, as I stated before. If your school has a carpentry class, you can build him a cage for really cheap. All you need is wood, screws, and hardware net. Hardware net is the plastic screen with 1/4" to 1/3" spaces between the mesh. You can get a cheap roll of it at Home Depot. I just built a cage for an iguana yesterday... Took only a few hours to finish. How do you feed the snakes and the iguana? Someone must be buying food for them... If you are 14, you can find work. Have your considered a paper route? Anything at all.... There is ways for a 14 yr old to make money. Trust me, I was once there. When I was 14, I ran 3 paper routes, and took in over $500 a month. I worked at McDonalds from the day I turned 15 (legal working age in MN), until I was over 18 yrs old. I'm 23 now, and making decent money. At 14, I would have never dreamed of trying to care for animals that I couldnt afford to feed or provide housing for. o and by the way the iguana is 4 years old.
