Although, he has never tail whipped or shown aggression towards me. Tail whipping and headbobbing are not so much signs of maturity as they are aggression. Tarzan is a sexually mature male, and doesn't bob at me, or whip at me.
You can find out an iguana's sex at any time. You can just ask your veterinarian to "probe" your iguana. Iguana's are not sexually dimorphic at a young age, (please correct me if I'm wrong, I think that is the right term for it) which means that you cannot tell males from females by looking at them. It isn't until they become sexually mature that you may be able to see the difference. lol, Tarzan still lacks the jowls at the moment. :P
