: Dehydrated iguanas will in fact have trouble shedding. The extent of the difficulty is dependant on the level of dehydration.
: For any reptile, outter moisture is almost as important as inner. Soaking and misting with water should be a regular part of ig care, and will help considerably with the shedding process, making dead skin softer and easier to throw.
: Also, a point of importance: An iguana needs to grow to shed. An iguana needs to eat to grow. A truely dehydrated animal rarely eats much.
