A vet visit is probably in order . Better to be safe than sorry . I also along with my sister have had some very tame iggys . The one I have now is a young male I found at a small reptile show . He is about 3ft long snout to tail tip ( He never has lost that tail ether ) . All though he is not mean he does wip his tail some and has attempted to bite once . So I am working on tameing him down . Also he lets my 12 year old niece handle him . She is good handleing iggy's .
All in all I think it comes down to the indavidual iggy . Each one will react differently and some have a more visable " personality " then others . Some even learn when feeding time is and where the food is always put . A real joy to have an iggy you can interact with like that . Makes being an owner even more fun :) .
