It is cruel...the ig needs a new cage immediately! Tell the guy it is inadequate and you will adopt the iguana for free...he can keep the cage! You will use that money toward vet bills and buying supplies to build a new cage. My cage dimensions are (5.6'high x 5'long x 3'deep) 6 feet high is ideal, but that was as high as I could go without hitting the ceiling fan! Make it as big as you can. Good luck. Remember, if this guy won't negotiate, then tell him their are plenty of free iguanas you can adopt. If you have met this iguana and fallen in love with him, it is up to you how far you are willing to go to save him.
