: Hi, I was just reading through some of the posts
here and thought I'd say hi.
: Very soon I will be getting my first iguana.
I'm very excited! Currently I'm
: also keeping turtles, so I'm hoping most of the
care will be similar. Luckily my
: fiance has kept iguanas before so he'll be
helpful.
: I'm just worried about getting an iguana that
will be aggressive. I know that they
: can get testy when they are shedding, but
overall are their temperaments
: fairly calm? I'm all ready to provide plenty of
space for the new arrival, we just
: got a large reptarium that is being set up as we
speak.
: Can iguanas be handled often? Do they like it
or would they rather not? I've heard of
: some getting mean and whipping tails and what
not. Does this happen often?
: I can't wait to get the baby and I'm so excited
to learn more about keeping a new kind of
: reptile.
: Thanks in advance!
: Lesha

Welcome to the wonderous world of igs, they are loving and intelligent creatures that will entertain and make your life full. We have a 41/2ft female ig that is truly great. Such personalities they have.As Joan and Iz'smom told you they grow fast and they'd like to be the boss, and in little ways they will be the boss, but enjoy your baby when you get it.Just think you'll have a new child that will love you and and there's nothing greater then these little kids.Looking forward to seeing you here.
