Introducing adopted Ig to our dogs and cats

Hi we are adopting a nine year old Iguana, he has a very gentle disposition. I am trying to be responsible here so I have done some researching but I know some of the best info comes from fellow herpers so here's the question how hard is it going to be to introduce this poor guy to our other animals...I'm sure he's already a little stressed after losing the only home he has known for nine years... any tips would be greatly appreciated.
