Please help inside????

I am having alot of trouble feeding my Ig, but I have only have had him/her for 1 week, we have made a bond. And I think it is at a right temperature because I do have a UVB light and a heating light for my green friend, but I still need to get a temperature reader for my tank, I have tried to feed it salad and banana. please tell me ways how to feed it and what else I can feed it with, I have tried feeding it by hand and nothing, also leaving it sherreded up in his little feeding bowl the tank came withand nothing.Could it be because it was last being fed with Reed's Iguans food????????? Please help and Thanks!!!!!!!!!
