I agree with Anna. Also, they are smart in ways that amaze me sometimes. They can be potty trained and they know exactly where everything in the house is. The recognize people and food items from a distance. They do understand "no"--mine stops and looks at me, but then just walks a little further away and still tries to eat the carpet (okay they aren't that smart hee hee). My last iguana would stand and wait at the refrigerator until I made his dinner-- he knew it came out of there! That seems smart! He would also, run from across the room and up my leg to steal bread off of a sandwhich if I was eating one.
