OR they call rescue groups like ours and then we must call in a favor from one of the few facilities we have available and beg them to take it. Transporting is no easy task for us either. I'll tell ya what ... nothing makes you a stronger advocate of the ban of crocs until you have one in the back seat of your truck doing a death roll and you're still an hour away from your ultimate destination.

The really sad part of the tail isn't what happens to the croc in the end, it's what happens while the idiot has it in their care. A 4.5 foot gator in a 6 foot tank and never fed anything but thawed frozen smelt. No UV, no pond filter and no way to move around except forward and backward. The poor girl's muscles are so atrophied that she must be lifted out of the pool to eat. Oh yeah, it's real cool to own an animal that can potentially eat you some day!

I don't care how much $ someone has -without proper training and a massive naturalistic habitat (notice I did not say enclosure) it's cruel to the croc. Besides of which -it is such a huge safety hazzard -you will never get anyone to insure you outside of Lloyd's of London.
