I am sort of a new mom, too....although I waited til after I got my ig to get the info....but at least I know that my pet is gonna get the best care, cuz most people here will give us their expert advice on whatever comes up in the life of an iguana owner. On the handling question, the more, the tamer....they may seem like they don't like it, but after time they will feel more secure with you. The main thing is to not let the ig dictate your actions...you must be the boss. Let go when you want to...don't let your ig "train" you!!

And the more you hang out here, the more you will learn!!
