Broken toe...abscess...

: Yesterday I posted about Maya having a broken toe. The toe has been : broken for a while and it's fine. It's not in the way and it doesn't : bother Maya. But I'm not sure but I think that where it is broken it : has swolen a tiny bit. (it has been broken for about 6 months)I went : to see the vet and everything a while back and she told me it was : broken but fine and nothing can be done. Well lately I read in a book : (MK) that an abscess can developp months later on a broken toe, and I : did notice that the toe got a tiny bit bigger. So should I just keep : and eye on it and wait to see if it get's bigger? And then what : happens? Do they just drain the puss out of the abscess or does it : need amputation? Any ideas? : Helene
