First HI to a fellow Ohioan. On my website I made our enclosure (okay hubby did most of the work) BUT we are going to PRAYING HERE moving in the next 6 months to a year what we did was did solid floor, side, and back, solid top wtih holes cut with screeing for the lights. The front we couldnt factor on the price for the pelxiglass so we sued the pet screening, its a rolled screening you see at lowes with a cat on one side and a dog on the other side of the plastic its in. Cut out a huge WIndow type on the top where her baskign shelf is and left teh bottom dark so she could get to privacy and hide if wanted. We made the door on the side out of wood and screeing. Check the website for info and pics.
: Okay...
: So I see now that it seems to be fairly important for my iggy to be in as large a cage as possible, and also that most of the ones available on the market are pretty much unsuitable. So, my question is, how do I go about building my own? I currently have my ig in a 20-gallon long and she's been okay with it for about a month now (SVL is about 3 1/2"), but lately she's been starting to climb up her little shade tree, which I assume means she's feeling too close to the ground (or she's cold, I'm not sure which). The other issue is that I live in Ohio right now and in about six months I'm moving to Tennessee (no problems moving the ig, I'm just not sure how I'll move the CAGE). I'm guessing I'll need some wood or something (der!) but I'm not sure what to use for the walls. I've seen some of you guys using Plexi-glas but I'm not sure where to get (or how to cut) that stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
