I just want to get it straight once and for all. I know I've heard that bananas should only be an occasional treat, but I can't remember why.
Bobbit hasn't been eating regularly since it's turned cold here in Utah, and about the only way I can trick him into eating his green leaves is to offer him a big bite of banana and while his mouth is open and chewing, I shove in several vitamin-sprinkled collard green leaves. Once something is in an ig's mouth, they keep chomping it down, so this is how I have to get him to eat lately.
But now I'm worried that he's getting at least one big bite of banana daily. Is this going to be terribly bad for him? Should I be "force feeding" him like this? Or let him not eat for days at a time if that's his choice?
I just want to do what's best for my guy.
