Most pet shops don't tell you that the $10 lil iggy you just bought has the capability of growing up to 6ft in length or more! (I think the known record is 8'2").
We've got two igs. Skittles, male, is just over 3ft long, and Annie, female, is 4ft long. We've just moved them to an outdoor enclosure which is L10'xW5'xH7'.
So, you will need to plan for the future when you think about the home you're going to put them in.
You have to decide whether you can afford to buy a new tank, or build a new home every few months, or whether you're going to build an enclosure from the start which you can "upgrade" to make larger as time passes and your ig grows.
