Ok, I need someone proof, ASAP! I started working a Petco a couple of months ago in hope of turning around their reptile department. IT WAS A MESS! Anyway, this past week i started to noticed black specks in and around the joints of the iguanas. Mites, right? They were infected to the point that the mites were even crawling on me. Major infestation! It's taken me some time to get rid of them, as i am limited to the products Petco says is ok for me to use.

1) Any adivce as to the best/cheapest way to get rid of these pests... since I've been lucky enough to not experience this with my own animals I kept over the years.

And this brings me to my next problem...

So, the "team leader" as she calls herself... decided to put these iguanas back into their newly disinfected enclosure without my approval. I refuse to sell these animals while being treated, and had kept them in the back so to keep customers from asking about them and mistakenly buy them... I work with very uneducated, tunnel-visioned people who think without "proof" from other sources, a second opinion if you will, that I am wrong in my diagnoses... and discriptions from books have not satisfied them. I guess they need to see to believe. This is way i HATE pet stores, and worked in a zoo up intil now! IGNORANCE! So I ask...

Where can i get pics of iguanas with black mites? Or, Is anyone willing to share their pics with me? It'll be very much apprechiated.
