Active UV & Powersun Lights

Hey guys , can anyone tell me the difference between the 2 mentioned brands and any other self-ballasted mercury vapor lamps available off the internet from lighting supply places? I saw a 100 watt self-ballasted MV lamp for $35 on one website. SHHHHHHH, keep it on the "down-low"! Or IS there any difference?
