Igs just *hate* being relocated, and they are designed to distrust new people. They are psychologically attuned to having prey-animal responses to stress - run or fight.

Is he big or small? If he's big, don't let him get a good bite of you. Small igs can't do much damage.

It might help to know that igs don't have the ability to think through stress-related problems, they just react instinctively until they become familiar with the new environment and people, and then they can relax.
