Hi!

I've used shelves and selfmade cargonets, ropeladders, ladders, and bookshelves over a couple of years and it has worked quite well with the igs climbing both up and down.

However I recently started building a new iguana habitat/enclosure using only natural wild wood as limbs, and I must say it looks much nicer than the things Ive ever used before and is more also more natural for the iguana to hang, stand, lay and climb on to so I would recommend that you use that instead.

I have not desinfected the large pieces of lumber to get rid of possible insect and have no plans to do it either. Just keep them under close supervision should be enough and time and heat will kill them all (especially as they just went from late autumn direct to a tropical climate...).
I've not seen a single ant sofar.

My igs are also 100% pottytrained so I can not see any problems with them dragging poop over the limbs either.

Good luck whatever you go for!
:)

/Hakan
