You should not try pushing anything in or pulling anything out of the vent -this can cause prolapse. Keep soaking him in a warm tub and if after a week or so there is no change, you need to go back to the vet.
There could be another reason he is not moving his back legs. When the vet did bloodwork, did she check vitamin B levels? She may want to! We had an ig found on the streets that came to us with similar symptoms. It mimicked calcium deficiency but upn further inspection it was vitamin B deficiency!
