Currently, both of our iguanas sleep in Josh's office out at the metal shop--at normal room temperature. We're in the process of building them a nice, new, huge cage, which will be temperature controlled. But until then, they sleep at room temperature.
I've heard some people say that this is fine, and yet I've heard others say that low 70's is way too cold for an ig even at night. Which is it? I don't want to be harming them until we get the cage built, but everynight, when I put them up on their shelf on a heating pad, both eventually crawl down and sleep on the desk, away from the heat. Will this hurt them?
Josh says that it gets cooler at night even in the tropics where wild iguanas live and that I worry too much. I just want to be sure. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Diana
