Well... It finally happened.....

Took in a 2' male from a PetCompany of all places last night. Nothing but a heat mat and a small double bulb 40w "music stand" light fixture....... Strange thing is, he also came with what could be a very nice acrylic tank once I get done cutting it up and modifying it correctly. Never seen anything like this. Probably 4x4x2 made out of 1/2" acrylic with MOLDED corners - actual round corners. This thing is a prodution model from somewhere as oppose to a "Do-it-yoursef" job. Biggest problem with it is that it only has access through the top. Absolutely no way to reach down to the bottom of the thing especially if it was up on any kind of table..... Sometimes (more times than not these days) I wonder about people.......

Forgot my gloves last night. Not a problem since the store manager told me that "he only whips - doesn't bite". You should've seen the looks on those kids' faces when I pulled the poor lizard out of the cat carrier that they had him in. His face was covered in blood - MY blood. LOL.... Boy did he remind me not to forget the gloves from now on. Oh well.... Other than what appears to be a fairly healthy case of mouth rot he seems to be OK. Especially for never having seen any UV - at least while in his enclosure. Hopefully his appetite will kick in today. He fell asleep in the tub last night. Somehow I get the feeling that it was the first time in a long time that he was warm enough..Head propped on the side of the tub....eyes closed....legs thrown back....And, gee, didn't even try to bite me when it was time to come out....;)

OK, now where's my RotoZip. Anyone know where I can easily get my hands on some hinges for 1/2" thick acrylic doors ?
