That is only A opinion...unless you know of solid official research done on that statement?

I'm going on 4 years with CHE's and I have yet to have a problem what so ever and they're just as safe as heat panel as long as you know how to mount them correctly! And I might add, since my CHE only cost around $20. vs $100. + for a heat panel....I could buy 5 CHE's and still be under the cost of a heat panel.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying heat panels are not good, it's just a very costly choice when CHE's will provide plenty of heat for a basking area.
