Yes it is correct that the only really good thing about watermelon is for hydration. Other than that it is just worthless. But as a random snake after the proper foods being eaten, I don't think it would be a problem.

And rose petals are o.k. too as long as you are getting them from a clean source. Which is hard to do. Roses get a lot of pesticides sprayed on them usually.
