I would say that it is closer to 19mo if it is nearly 2ft long. Carrots are also not the best diet. Greens (collard, mustard, turnip), squash (acorn, butternut), green beans, alfalfa (be careful what type), and perhaps some fruit such as canteloupe would be alright. Also, you need to change the bedding and the water daily, as well as the food. Also, you need a uvb light and good heat source (ceramic heat emitter, bulb, heat pad-not heat rock!)
I would go ahead and get the size cage you'll eventually need-at least 6X4X6 would be great. I wouldn't house them together-bad idea. Also, I wouldn't house the anoles with them, iguanas tend to like their space and get aggessive toward others.
