An enclosure that size is absolutely excellent.... That being said- the suggestions...
Cut the cords on the heat rocks and use them for decoration...Heat rocks are notorious for developing hot spots on them and have been known to cause thermal burns on iguanas.
Definitely takea look at the Active UVHeat bulbs. An enclosure this size is most definitely a candidate for using them. If you have questions about them feel free to check out our site. We've got a page up that may answer some questions for you. Do this after looking at their site though - www.uvheat.com...Also look at www.myiguana.com for more info...
As far as heat sources, personally I'd go with a radiant heat panel instead of a ceramic heat emitter for this enclosure. More efficient, especially when used with a temp controller. Also look into some form of misting system whether it be an ultrasonic humidifier, fogger, or commercial misting system. Check out HerpSupplies.com for supplies... we use them for all of our ig supplies exclusively....
You've got a great opportunity to set up an excellent environment for Squiggy. Please feel free to drop us a line if you have any questions as to why I recommend the things I did...Or for any other reason for that matter...;)
