Hoss has been going into his hide box at dusk and doesn't come out until sunrise. I'm worried that it isn't hot enough for him during the night. I wasn't using a bulb for nighttime basking to keep temps up, but did use a human heating pad underneith his substrate to keep him warm since he'd hide in a corner on the bottom of the aquarium. Will he be okay or should I start using a blacklight???? Without any heat at night, but just using the heat pad the aquarium stays constant at about 82-84 degrees, but who knows what the temp is inside that old shoe box he hides in!!!
