Iguana Baths

Ive heard people mentioning taking their iguanas out for a bath? Should i be putting my iguana in a container of water for a lil bath? If so for how long a session, and how often? also what should the water temp be,. I have a fairly large bowl of water for my ig to drink from he couldnt get in thats for sure, but he could maybe get the back of himself in.
