(iZ enjoying one of his marathon soaks)

some igs are really scared of being in the water at 1st ... *most* of them adjust, get used to it and end up enjoying it ALOT ...

definitely DON'T put very much water in til he gets used to it ~ don't put so much in that he floats! iZ spent the 1st couple weeks holding onto my arm while i leaned 1/2 way into the tub with him ... *grin* ... but that worked! he got over his fear of the water and learned he could trust me at the same time ...

go slooooooooow! if he really really hates it, don't make him stay in for more than a minute or so, it should be a 'fun' thing ...

iZ really HATES the sound of the faucet running ~ he's never gotta over that ... good idea to have his bath fixed 1st and then bring him into the room ... luke-warm water, not *too* warm ... (or have a hose hook-up like i have for iZ ... keeps the water warm during his marathon soaks without the noise of the faucet cuz the hose is under water ~ unless he asks for a "shower" ... :) )
