HOW LONG WILL GREENS KEEP???

In the refrigerator if kept cool, and misted with water daily??? Someone told me only about 3-4 days. I went to the Market yesterday, and bought some new greens, but the other greens I had were about 5 going on six days old, but still looked fresh, weren't changing colors, and didn't smell...thank god....so how do you know....Also how long would cut up squash last in freezer??? Thanks forum!!
