Miya sick!HELP!have any idea what it could be?

I noticed this morning when i went to feed Miya he was on the bottom branch of his cage with his tail in the water. This struck me as odd as he always goes to the top of his cage and has a special spot he sleeps in. Well I didn't think to much about it as he seemed fine when i had him out yesterday. Well I got home for lunch and his lights were on and he was still in same position and there was mucus? almost looked like he threw it up? I imediatly reached in to see if he was okay~ he moved up to the top of the cage and he wasn't acting right! I was practically in his cage with him and he wasn't trying to attack me or anything!~ I offered him his bowl of water and he drank and drank it~ Than he held his head up high and just sat there like that for the longest time!~ I had to leave and come back to work~ as this is one of the busiest days we have there is no way i can get out of work today!ARGGG!!! So i have to sit here and worry and wonder what could be wrong???? I am going to talk to the vet but I am wondering if anyone has any idea's on what could be wrong? he doesn't seem to be having a hard time breathing~ Plus I had him out yesterday~ I held him the entire time and so he couldn't have eaten anything bad~ Ever heard of mucus throw up???? thanks for your help in advance!~ Tif
