I haven't experienced this yet. Right now all the items in the cage are left the same. Once a week we take everything out of the cage, put it in the tub and pour boiling water over the rocks, feeding dishes, tree limbs, etc... We make sure that everything is placed back in the same position after cleaning and sterilizing. Right now while we are training Sneakers to become a custom to us she doesn't have much else in her cage. I will know how she reacts after a month or two more of training. We are going to interduce some of those silk plants iZ's mom keeps talking about. However I think she will like that as it will give me more hide spots.

Sneakers has a favorite side of her cage and the other side she visits less. Her cage is 7' long and has guadated heating going from 95 down to 80 degrees. The side with the less heat is visited only when she needs to cool down. All her main favorite items, basking branch, water, basking rock, and food is on the warmer side of the cage. Maybe you could interduce the rock to a part of the cage that would make it less threatening. Somewhere that she can get used to it first.
