Introducing new items to Elizabeth's enclosure

Today I purchased a lovely rock (NOT A HEAT ROCK) to place in Elizabeth's enclosure. Well, Elizabeth went crazy. She was hissing, swinging her tail...I have never seen her behave in that manner before. Well, needless to say, I removed the rock immediately.

Has anyone ever had a similar experience? Must admit, I am rather perplexed. Could it be the color of the rock? It is a browish-green. Would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.
