I just went to GEO's page and read his story - He is SOO very lucky to have found his way to you + Mr. D!! You're in New Hampshire right? I ask because I live in CT and I would LOVE to come visit you and all your Igs some day in the near future if it's convenient and OK with the two of you and your household of Igs (Jack too). I have learned so much from everyone on this forum and have a huge amount of respect for you and Mr. D and all you do for these extremely lucky Ig's (lucky to have ended up with you, not lucky in what they've been thru on the way). Do you know how far away from the Hartford, CT area you are?
A little over a year ago I knew hardly anything about Iggys or Dragons (in fact I never understood why anyone would want a reptile for a pet). To make a long story as short as I can, I was misinformed at a pet store (big surprise!) about these 2 cute little lizards (Spyro + Sparx my Water Dragons) that I purchased to take home and put in my 20-gallon tank with my firebelly toads (I asked the questions - no they won't get much bigger - at the time they were about 5 1/2 inches total length - , they only eat crickets, they don't have any specific lighting or heat requirements!) Well when I got home I did a search on the internet, found Tricia's page and thought, "Oh my, what have I gotten myself into?" Needless to say they did not ever go into the toad tank they went into a very temporary 10-gallon tank with some plants and a large waterbowl until the next day when we began the new cage construction. I knew I couldn't return them so I started reading and found kingsnake went to then very inactive water dragon forum so started coming here and learking around and now S+S have a whole room to themselves, are very healthy, very happy, and very SPOILED!
All right, I've rambled on enough! I just wanted to let you know how much I've learned here, how much Spyro & Sparx Thank you, and how much I REALLY want to visit and meet you! I never thought I'd say this but, (and Iz's mom warned me my first post) I REALLY wish I could adopt Geo! I wish I had the room, and I'm wondering how hubby would feel about transforming another room into a "Tropical Room" for an Iggy...
Thanks again!
Michelle, Spyro & Sparx
I have linked S&S photo page below in case anyone is interested in seeing how spoiled they have become...
Once again, thanks all!

: Don't know if the pic will work this time or not, been kind of fickle! LOL I put the URL to his page at the bottom just in case!

: This is Geo, he's a big boy but sweet as can be! I think he's mostly just so happy to have UV and fresh food that he would love anyone that didn't treat him like he used to be treated. We don't have weight or measurment on him on yet, it's been a rough road for him and those things have been low on the list!

: Considering all he has been through and the fact that he was supposedly raised on trout food, he's huge and his dewlap is the size of a human adult hand. It's got a hole in the middle of it, we think from his own claw. He's also extremely heavy but with as much as he poops I have no idea why! LOL I swear he poops out twice the amount of what he eats on a daily basis and he eats about 5 cups of finely shredded food! (yeah, I know -gross but at least none of you have to clean it! LOL Thank Goddess for the shop vac!)
