I would be concerned too ...won't be the first time a surgeon has missed a follicle, did not excise the oviduct or left an ovary and during subsequent breeding seasons yolks may be produced and possibly reabsorbed with less swelling and a return to eating (which may be in her case). Ya know...it doesn't sound life or death...but I would get an Xray in any event. It may reveal something other than retained follicle or phantom gravid symptoms. For 2 years following my igs spaying...she presented EXACT same symptoms of gravidity (off feed, restlessness, digging, orange breeding season colors, not pooping in her water pan or tub but lettin loose whereever she wanted) but never noticed any swelling or egg development. My male iguana had the same breeding season behavior/physical characteristics 2 years in a row prior to his neuter.
According to my vet/surgeon their bodies continue to release hormones depending on how the tissue/organs were transfixed during surgery...and told me breeding season crazies would subside with subsequent seasons...and sure nuff did!
I'd keep an eye on her for the next couplea weeks and if she continues to be distended get that Xray! Any significant change in eating, pooping behavior (lethargy), I'd take her in asap!
