Rebake the furnishings, wash the tank with a 10% bleach solution, rinse well and let it air out. As far as ridding the lizard of the little buggers, I'd suggest Betadine baths since he's so young. After bathing, return him to the tank with paper substrate and very little else. Watch to see for more mites and bath accordingly until you see no more evidence of bugs. Good luck and I'm sure Gina or someone else will have some more suggestions.
