You are correct. It is impossible for incandescent lights to give off UVB. The Active UVB (although it can be screwed into a light socket just like an incandescent bulb) is NOT an incandescent bulb.
"The Active UVHeat is a self-ballasted bulb, which allows it to be used in an ordinary socket. The UVB and UVA are generated from a mercury vapor arc-tube and the heat comes from a heat filament, both of which are powered by the internal self-ballast. So this is basically two bulbs built into one." -from the UVHeat website

: I saw a light which is called "ACTIVE UV", and is a screw-in incandescent, and it said that it gives off high amounts of UV light, but on another web-site I visited it said it is impossible for an incandescent light to give off UV light. Says on Flourescent bulbs can give off UV light!!! I heard several people in this forum say they use this "ACTIVE UV" light, but it doesn't mean it works, So which is it??? FACT OR FICTION???
