All the nutrients is most likely sucked out of it so all he has are these peices of food to crnuch on for a while. Lots of people want to do that becaquse it is convenient but it isn't a good a idea at all. Just spend the extra few minutes chopping up some good, fresh salad(I even make sure mine is organic!).Beleive me, your ig will be grateful but he might not show it too well!
